There are a number of life coaches available that help you live your best life. But with me, you’ll experience the tools you’ll need to live more adventurously. You’ll be DOING the tasks you need to learn to get out of your rut…. albeit in a fun and challenging way. I have a fundamental belief about not taking life too seriously! Life is short and play is sacred! When we are willing to question the framework in which we’ve built our lives, we can play with the possibilities. It takes courage and a willingness to jump into the unknown. It’s never too late to test your limits!

About Me

I am an occupational therapist specializing in mental health, an intuitive coach, certified in expressive arts with a life long love of adventure in the great outdoors. I believe that everything we do in play, whether outdoors or on the canvas, is a metaphor for life. If given attention and conscious pursuit, time spent in this creative adventurous playground brings transformative shifts in our lives as well.

Whole Arts Connection was developed in 2013 in which I’ve worked with individual clients, groups of all ages and various institutions. And moreso, I’ve been doing this work all my life, growing deeper in understanding and value of my innate ability to let loose the reigns and truly enjoy life in a way that is adventurous and soul enriching. My greatest gift is bringing that to you!

Adventurous Living

Living an adventurous life is not about a singular event; ie., learning how to ski or paint a canvas. It’s about living into the edges – of comfort, curiosity and the unknown - that challenges the beliefs and structure of our lives. What if you could “break the rules” and have more fun?

LIVING AN ADVENTUROUS LIFE IS:

  • BREAKING THE RULES IN ART, where you might abandon the techniques and rules of art school, and play with throwing paint against the wall. It’s exploration in color and texture and tools as you may have done as a child. It’s allowing discovery to be your guide as you silence the old judgments while you and the canvas (or “sacred other”, as I call it) become one.

  • BREAKING THE RULES OF YOUR STRUCTURED LIFE, letting the to-do list burn, the technology to be unplugged, and your mind to quiet. You may enter into the mystery of what you’ve always wanted to do but never allowed yourself the time or possibility.

  • REDIFINING “FUN”- away from what is overindulgent and harmful in the long run into what is challenging, but heart centered and soul enriching.

  • UNDERSTANDING PLAY AS VITAL TO OUR EXISTENCE, not just our childhood. Where play becomes a sacred space in which there are limited rules, discovery is key, “right and wrong” are left outside the door, and there’s no real purpose or intention, only curiosity in the moment.

  • BREAKING THE RULES OF YOUR BELIEF SYSTEMS, of what you’ve been taught, of the limits you’ve put upon yourself, or the labels you’ve put upon your world.

  • IT’S SAYING, “DAMN IT, I’M WORTH IT!” There’s no do-overs in this life time. If not now, when?” Kicking off those heels, and walking into the sunset with a new lease on life.

Why?

BECAUSE WHEN WE CAN DO THIS, LETTING GO OF THE STRICT FRAMEWORK THAT HAS SHAPED OUR LIVES, AND PLAY IN THE CURIOSITY AND DISCOVERY OF WHAT WE’RE GIVEN, IT RESHAPES OUR AWARENESS OF OURSELVES AND THE WORLD WE LIVE IN. IT PROVIDES US WITH A NEW CONFIDENCE TO EXPLORE OUR WORLD WITH ABANDON IN ORDER TO CREATE THE LIFE WE ARE TRULY PASSIONATE ABOUT!
